Community Report - Week 36

Published: 14.04.2024

I'll start today's report with a couple of news: the weekly report will now be generated for the last 7 days, and the monthly report will now be generated for the last 30 days. Also this week I made a couple of changes to the algorithm's business logic, so that if you have your task reward set to FreeCoins and your balance has reached 0, but you have PaidCoins, the algorithm will continue to suggest your tasks to other users up to the "daily limit" level. But if you want to get more help than the "daily limit" allows, you need to change the settings of some tasks and set the PaidCoins reward. I've also noticed that users who set PaidCoins rewards for "Installation" tasks get more help than users who set PaidCoins rewards for Bonus (Rating/Review) tasks. Statistically, users are 5-6 times more likely to choose "Installation" tasks than Bonus tasks that require writing text.

Statistics. Over the last 7 days we were able to complete 476 tasks, of which 389 were "Installation" tasks. Now the algorithm is more focused on "Installation" tasks, but after some time, when their number reaches a sufficient level, the situation will change. Not all users have completed the "Welcome Task" yet, and some of them had difficulties in understanding the "Promotion Period". That's why I decided to tell you once again how it works. Instead of "Level" and "Experience", which are familiar to all of you from the games, but poorly display the current activity and usefulness of a particular user to the Community, we now use the "Promotion Period" indicator. It displays the number of days during which the algorithm continues to suggest your tasks to other users. It can be extended by completing other users' tasks (for every 2 tasks you get +1 day) or by paying for a paid subscription. That is, your applications will be promoted as long as you promote other users' applications - this is the essence of "peer-to-peer" promotion. As soon as you stop helping other users and your "Promotion Period" reaches 0, your tasks will stop appearing in the general list and the algorithm will stop suggesting them to other users.

Congratulations. Since in the last report I didn't congratulate anyone on new achievements, and there are already a lot of them, I'll fix that now)) In these 2 weeks already 35 users got the first 10 installations: Hussein Mustafa, Maisovisk, Mjapps, Miroslaw, Laniakea, sol_loong, Nada, Marius, Kyo, Vince Vector, Ilya Khrustalev, Anushri, Arison Teotonio, Fry Dro, LetterGrid, Mendroid.net, yokozuna, Joao, Golf Caddie Pro, Short of Genius, guy, Dark Matthew, Mahmoud Bltajy, Dhiraj Kumar Saikia, wlink, Sanjay, SYstars, Done Developer, Peteratus, Ruben, hqzhang1982, Andrew Msuya, Ujjawalapps, Yann, devhub. And also we already have a user "Miroslaw" who has already received 25 Installations for applications. I am very happy for all of you and wish you more Installations and Reviews for your applications.

In conclusion, we all don't like change because we have to re-learn or get used to new rules, but without change there will be no progress, and yes, not all changes are "right", but the Community has not yet found its true path where the algorithm can distribute help (tasks) very fairly among all users. It's hard to create something "right" in a world built on power, lies and deceit - there are no real examples, so I keep experimenting to find a balance. I hope you all will support and help me.
