This week has been difficult, the server can no longer cope with so many active users. Using individual task lists was the right choice, but this approach led to an increase in server load as traffic increased. The algorithm has to do a lot of calculations every time: which tasks you have already completed, which tasks are available by balance, country and other parameters, which tasks were hidden by you, and which tasks you did not receive due to not completing the parent task. And this is just a small part of all the processes that are constantly executed on our server. There is also a search and verification of new candidates for the Community, sending emails with statistics, when opening Disputes and Tickets, etc.

I tried increasing the server capacity and paying a more expensive tariff, but this didn't give the expected result. Different subsystems require different hardware configurations, and if one of them freezes, the entire server will fail. This leads to the fact that sometimes your screenshots are not saved, letters are not sent, or you receive a task that you have already completed or should not have received yet. I didn't think this would happen so soon.

On Monday 23.10.2023 at 07:00 (UTC) the site and service will be disabled for scheduled work to distribute the load and transfer subsystems to different servers. I have never done anything like this, but I have already started preparing and am reading a lot of instructions so that the technical work goes as quickly as possible. I don’t know how long it will take me, but I hope it won’t be more than 1 hour. The community is becoming much larger than I can handle alone. This week I stopped sending invitations so as not to aggravate the situation, but I plan to start it again after the repair work. Every month more than 200 new users join us and this cannot continue without a constant increase in server power as the algorithm will have to process more and more data to create individual task lists, not to mention processing, compressing and storing your screenshots.
