Today I will start my weekly report with strange news, namely, strict conditions for new Google Play developer accounts created this year. The Google team has changed a number of conditions for publishing new applications and added mandatory closed testing. 20 testers must participate in testing at the same time) These innovations have already begun to influence our Community. If last year the algorithm found several thousand potential candidates (new applications published a few days ago) per day, now this figure has dropped to several hundred. I don’t know how this will affect the future, but I wouldn’t want only large companies to remain on the market. I like the projects of Indie studios and solo developers. If you have any suggestions for organizing the "Group Testing" service within the Community, please write to me. Together we can definitely solve this problem and help each other.
I also wanted to discuss the situation around daily limits. Alas, now the work of the algorithm and the service as a whole is organized in such a way that daily limits are an important component. Let me try to explain using pies as an example, everyone loves delicious pies) There are several delicious pies in the Community that are baked every 11 hours. But we don’t know how many people will want it, so we give 1 piece per hand. So we want to achieve conditions when the maximum number of people who want to receive at least 1 piece of the pie. And if there are still a few pieces left, the algorithm distributes them further. In round 2, a similar distribution occurs, but the condition of having a paid subscription is added. In round 3, only paid accounts remain. This scheme is not perfect, but it works and works honestly. I ask you to be understanding about the operation of the service.
Let's talk briefly about statistics. This week 41 new users joined us and 70 new applications were added. Together, we were able to complete 1,588 app promotion tasks. There are currently 240 active members in the Community, of which 128 users have received Level 4+ and now their daily limit will be 2+ tasks per day.
In conclusion. The development of a new version of the service is going according to plan, I have already been able to integrate avatars from Gravatar, add the TinyMCE text editor and the DropZone image downloader. Soon I will start creating a new process for adding applications to our network, and then I will move on to writing code for the "Task Constructor" that will manage all types of tasks (basic, bonus, new, etc.). Each of you can speed up the process of releasing a new version by thanking me for my efforts and buying me coffee on "Buy Me a Coffee" or subscribing to a paid tariff.
